Suspects in Custody Following Columbus Shooting

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI-TV) An argument between 2 customers just after noon at the United Deli on Tuscaloosa Road turned violent with shots fired.

Columbus Police have the suspects in custody, following up on good vehicle descriptions from eyewitnesses.

Witnesses tell WCBI that shots were fired near the gas pumps.

The alleged shooter left the scene in a 2003 green Chevrolet Trailblazer, headed toward Highway 82 on Gardner Boulevard, according to people at the Deli.

A second vehicle, a black truck, left the scene, traveling on Waterworks Road.

Law enforcement officers took suspects into custody at New Hope Road and Highway 1-82.

There were apparently no injuries.
