Video: West Point/ICC’s Steffon Moore Signs with West Alabama Baseball

FULTON, Miss. (WCBI/LetsGoICC.com) – A trio Itawamba Community College sophomores will be continuing their baseball careers at the next level.

JT Salter (Bay Minette, AL) will compete in the Southeastern Conference at the University of Alabama, Steffon Moore (West Point) join the University of West Alabama squad and Keith Stepter (Hernando) continues his career at the University of Memphis.

Moore finished his sophomore season with a 7-4 record while striking out 53 for a strikeout per game average of 9.73. He gave up 52 runs, 39 earned, on 51 hits and ended with a 7.16 ERA in 12 appearances.

The 6’1 left handed pitcher was named MACJC All-State Second Team and during his freshman season he earned MACJC Pitcher of the Week twice and was MACJC All-State Second Team.

Moore finished his career at ICC with a 4.77 ERA, 96 strikeouts and a 9-5 record and will join the Tigers who finished one game shy of the NCAA Division II World Series.
