Video: Monroe County Woman Arrested After Party Raided
MONROE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A Monroe County woman is accused of hosting a party where minors were drinking alcohol.
Investigators say 38-year-old Brandie Lee Meisenholder violated the social host law.
Mississippi law holds adult property holders accountable for parties where juveniles are drinking alcohol.
Monroe County Sheriff Cecil Cantrell says around 250 to 300 people were at Saturday night’s party on McDuffie Cemetery Road.
“A lot of them were under the 18 years of age and and the rest of them were older than that. I called the parents of most of these children myself and told them to come get their child and they just couldn’t believe that their child was doing that, but they were,” says the sheriff.
Sheriff Cantrell says this arrest should serve as a reminder for parents to know what their children are doing.
