Lowndes County Man Breaks Into Church On Sunday Morning

LOWNDES CO., Miss. (WCBI) – A Lowndes County man is accused of breaking into a church on Sunday morning.

Investigators say a church member found 30-year-old Alvie Jordan inside New Hope United Methodist Church.

Jordan is charged with burglary of a commercial building, along with possession of methamphetamine. Both are felony charges.

He was still at the church when deputies arrived on scene.

Detectives say a piece of electronic equipment is missing from the church.

Jordan remains in jail tonight.
