Video: Columbus Armed Robbery Arrest, Search Continues For Second Suspect

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – An arrest is made in a Columbus armed robbery and law enforcement continue to search for a second suspect.

Investigators say the young man wearing the blue shirt and carrying an assault rifle is Vershawn Orlando Williams, 17.

Williams turned himself in to Columbus police, after officers and Lowndes County deputies had been searching for him.

He’s charged with armed robbery.

Law enforcement are still trying to find Antonio Cortez Roland, 31.

He’s the man walking through the yard in the white shirt.

This all started on May 13th when three females said they were robbed at gunpoint in the one thousand block of 14th Street North.
