WEST POINT, Miss. (WCBI) –The City of West Point is framing a picture of the future.
At Tuesday night’s Board of Selectmen meeting city officials unveiled West Point’s new comprehensive plan to the public.
The plan is designed to guide public policy for growth over the next 20 to 25 years, taking into account many aspects of development, including industrial expansion, residential growth, and education..
The document serves as a framework, and is designed to be reviewed every few years, and changed as necessary.
“The plan to grow…the current policy that we have is quite outdated and very old. It’s been time that we developed this plan.”
The last time West Point drew up a comprehensive plan was in 1979.
