Video: ‘Angel Tree’ Recipients Are Being Reminded To Sign Up For Required Budgeting Class
TUPELO, MISS. (WCBI) – Tupelo’s Salvation Army is reminding those who may need the “Angel Tree” program this Christmas to sign up for a budgeting class.
Although it’s June, anyone who wants to sign up for ‘Angel Tree” has until August 23rd to take a required budgeting class.
The two hour classes are offered on a variety of days and times to accommodate people’s schedules.
Salvation Army representatives say the point is to give people sound money management principles.
“We have had some who have come and taken the budgeting class before, earlier in the year and they would call us before Angel Tree and say, ‘I’m not going to be there to sign up because what I learned in that class has helped me redo my finances and I think I can make it this year for my kids,” said Susan Gilbert, of the Tupelo Salvation Army.
If you think you will need the Angel Tree program this Christmas, call the Tupelo Salvation Army to schedule a budgeting class. That number is 662 842 9222.
