Video: Bond Set At Three Million Dollars For Suspected Waffle House Shooter
TUPELO, MISS. (WCBI) – Bond is set at three million dollars for a man accused of opening fire in the parking lot of the Waffle House in Tupelo early Sunday, wounding two people, one of them critically.
Twenty four year old Nicholas Pack is charged with two counts of aggravated assault. Police say Pack was at the Tupelo Waffle House around 2 thirty Sunday morning, when the incident unfolded.
Two people were hit by gunfire, one victim is on life support at North Mississippi Medical Center, the other is in good condition.
Deputy Police Chief Allan Gilbert says one of the victims was an innocent bystander.
“That does happen, that’s why this can’t be tolerated, we’re going to have an increased presence on patrol, special operations, and we have a great city, again, a clear, loud message was sent by the judge today,” Deputy Chief Gilbert said.
Gilbert says he is satisfied with the bond set by Judge Sadie Holland. Authorities aren’t saying what sparked the shooting.
