Breaking: Jury Finds Man Guilty Of Capital Murder
COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI-TV) – A jury has found a man guilty of capital murder.
The decision came early Thursday evening, the second day of the Lowndes County trial for Joshua Taylor. The death penalty will be on the table for Friday’s hearing, where a jury will decide Taylor’s fate. That’s scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m.
Taylor, 29, was one of the suspects in the 2011 shooting death of William Stallings. None of the other suspects have gone to trial.
A man originally charged with murder in the investigation took the stand Thursday.
Mark Love was called to the stand Wednesday. He lived at the Harrison Road mobile home where the shooting occurred in May 2011. He found Stallings dead. He says he heard at least two gunshots that day.
