Video: Murder Trial Underway in Columbus
COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – Testimony began Wednesday in a Lowndes County capital murder trial.
Mark Love was called to the stand after opening statements.
Love lived at the Harrison Road mobile home when the shooting occurred in May 2011.
29 year-old Joshua Taylor is one of five men charged with capital murder.
The Lowndes County man says he heard a loud noise and saw several people come inside the house, before hearing a gunshot.
Love testified that he ran into the woods to call 911 and heard another gunshot.
William Stallings was found dead inside the trailer by Love.
The two men were friends.
At least five witnesses testified, including investigators.
None of the other suspects have gone to trial.
