Video: Superintendent’s Contract on the Agenda for Special – Called Meeting

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) -The Columbus school board will discuss Superintendent Dr. Phillip Hickman’s contract.
A special meeting of the Columbus Municipal School District Board of Trustees is scheduled for 8:00 A.M. Tuesday.

An agenda for the meeting shows the board will go into executive session to consider extending Hickman’s contract.

He was hired in July 2014 to a four year contract, making $175,000.00 a year.

Hickman was an assistant superintendent in the Houston, Texas school district before coming to Columbus.
