Video: Harmon Arrives In Northeast Mississippi For Performance At Amory Railroad Fest
TUPELO, MISS. (WCBI) – There is a ton of excitement for the first night of the Amory Railroad Festival, and most of it has to do with the hometown singer who is set to perform.
Trent Harmon will play Thursday evening on the main stage of the Amory Railroad Festival. He flew into Tupelo Tuesday evening and WCBI’s Allie Martin was on hand to document the moment.
Harmon lives in Nashville and tours extensively. His mother Cindy was there to meet him and take him to his hometown of Amory.
Harmon, who won the last season of “American Idol” says he is looking forward to performing for a hometown crowd.
“I’m bringing the whole band, we’re doing a full set, we are doing a lot of tunes Thursday night that have never I;ve never sung,so if you’ve been on the road, seen our show on the road, you haven’t seen this show, I’m going to try out some new material, what better place than a home crowd,” Harmon said.
Harmon has a new album coming out soon. He takes the stage at 6:30 Thursday evening. A large crowd is expected so arrive as early as you can at Frisco Park. Allie will have more from his interview with Trent Harmon on Thursday on WCBI News.
