Former Macon Police Officer Indicted
MACON, Miss. (WCBI) – A former Macon police officer is accused of taking three handguns.
Now, he’s facing three charges.
A grand jury indicted Darold Keith Mitchell on two counts of embezzlement and one count of conspiracy.
The indictment accuses Mitchell of taking two handguns that were seized by Macon police for evidence.
Prosecutors say he also took his service weapon.
The alleged crimes all happened in December 2015.
The Attorney General’s office is prosecuting the case.
