VIDEO: NCAA Women’s Basketball Championship Game Sold Out

DALLAS, Miss. (WCBI)- It’s the day after the big game and Mississipi State is waking up with a lot of new fans and the old ones.

Even longtime faithful UCONN fans, who were crushed to see their team lose, say they’ll be cheering for the Bulldogs in the championship.

I’m gonna be there tomorrow night and I’ve go a bunch of Mississippi girls right behind me. They’re probably gonna be surprised to see me in there tomorrow night. I want to see Mississippi win.

We met a couple who said they weren’t gonna go and if we wanted the tickets, and were able to get those transferred this morning. And had to find a hotel room; everywhere is still sold out because Starkville people are coming on in.

These ladies, who played on the women’s team in the 70’s and 80’s, are hoping someone will help them get into the arena Sunday.

The lines have died down here at the box office at American Airlines Center, but faithful fans are hoping they still get lucky.

Tickets for the big game are near impossible to come by!

The N-C-double-A announced earlier today that they are officially sold out of tickets.

Those who were lucky enough to snag one or some got them for an average price of $1,400.

Court side tickets went for nearly $2,000 a piece and are said to be turned around and sold for close to $5,000 a piece.

There’s an estimated 20,000 people expected to be in attendance for tomorrow nights game.
