Gas Leak Shuts Down Yorkville Road East

LOWNDES CO., Miss. (WCBI) – A gas leak forces workers off a construction site and closes down a busy New Hope area road.

Lowndes County deputies blocked off Yorkville Road East, near William Roberts Road.

Atmos Energy is working to repair a gas leak near a townhouse construction site on Yorkville.

EMA Director Cindy Lawrence says workers were evacuated from the scene.

No details were immediately available about what may have caused the leak.
