COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI)- Two local teens take top honors in the state’s first high school fishing tournament. West Point High School students’ Jordan Camp and Matthew Bagwell’s catches totaled 13lbs 11 ozs. That was enough to win first place. The team of two will now advance to the national competition later this summer in Florence Alabama. The pair competed against 28 other teams of high school age student from across the state and Tennessee. The Fishing League Worldwide organization, known as FLW, is working with athletic directors across the state. FLW wants more options for high school students looking for competitive sports.
