Amory, Mississippi Welcomes Amery, Wisconsin

AMORY, Miss. (WCBI) – Amory got a visit from their favorite Wisconsinites this week!

We spoke with Micheal Simonson last week as he FaceTimed Amory Mayor Brad Blalock. 

The Simonsons are from Amery, Wisconsin and took a liking to Amory, Mississippi after connecting his 5th grade class to the town through the “Amery to Amory” project.

Simonson and his wife got a grand tour of the town from Mayor Blalock, ranging from the town’s museum and library to the town clock.

Simonson says he’s loved his time here, and his family has enjoyed it, as well.

The Simonsons even made a charitable donation to the Amory food pantry after hosting a food drive at their school.
