Amory Police Make Two Weapons Arrests
AMORY, Miss. (WCBI) – Two people are arrested in Amory in separate incidents, but both are facing weapons charges.
On March 3rd, Amory Police officers reponded to a shoplifting call at a business on Highway 278 East.
23-year-old Dylan Cayson was taken into custody, and that’s when police found him in possession of metallic knuckles.
Cayson is facing misdemeanor charges as well as a felony charge of possession of a weapon by a convicted felon. He’s also on hold for MDOC.
His bond will be set later by a Monroe County Justice Court judge.
The next day, on March 4th, officers were dispatched to a disturbance on 7th Street South in Amory, where they found 40-year-old Paula Lockhart with a rifle.
Lockhart was on house arrest.
She was arrested and charged with possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.
Lockhart is being held at the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office waiting for a bond to be set. She is also being held for MDOC.
