Tupelo Man Gets 15 Years For Planning To Have Wife Murdered

TUPELO. Miss. (WCBI-TV) – A man facing a conspiracy to commit murder charge pleaded guilty Tuesday in Tupelo.

Derik Graves received a 15-year prison sentence and will also get an additional 15 years suspended.

Investigators say he hired a Lee County man to shoot and kill is wife. Graves got the murder weapon himself and helped plan the shooting. District Attorney John Weddle says the man Graves hired contacted law enforcement with the information.

Graves also entered a guilty plea to a grand larceny charge.
