Home Invasion Lands Two Oxford Men Behind Bars

OXFORD, Miss. (WCBI) – Two Oxford men are arrested when a home invasion turns violent.

27-year-old Justin Hilliard and 22-year-old Demarquis Gipson are charged with burglary-home invasion.

On Sunday, the Oxford Police Department got a call about a man that had been assaulted inside his home in the Pegues Road area.

The victim said Hilliard and Gipson forced their way inside and hit him multiple times in the face with a handgun.

Police say this incident was connected to an argument between all three men that happened over the weekend.

The victim was taken to Baptist Memorial Hospital where he was treated and released.

Hilliard and Gipson were given a bond of $100,000.00 each.
