UPDATE: Missing Columbus Child Found Safe

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) –The searching for a missing six year-old in Columbus is over, after being found with his aunt.

Columbus police say the family member found Xzavier Westbrook alone at the Budget Inn and was taking care of him.

The boy’s mother left for work early that morning. Shortly afterwards her boyfriend left the room as well.

When the mother returned this afternoon, Xzavier was not in the room.

He was returned to the police department this evening from Monroe County.

Columbus police did not say if any charges would be filed against the parents.
