Video: “Blue Lives Matter” Bill Moves To Mississippi Senate Floor

JACKSON, Miss. (WCBI-TV) – A bill that many are calling “Blue Lives Matter” is moving forward this week.

It would increase the penalties for crimes against police officers, firefighters and first responders in Mississippi. The judiciary committee voted Tuesday to send the bill to the Senate floor.

It would make these crimes “hate” crimes in Mississippi, doubling the penalties for targeting people based on those occupations.
