Video: Storm Shelter Construction Begins In Pontotoc County

PONTOTOC, Miss. (WCBI-TV) – The Pontotoc County School District has begun building storm shelters at North and South Pontotoc high schools.

The county posted photos to Facebook Monday saying workers have started to build the domes that will be used if there is a tornado threat.

Most of the funding came from a grant from FEMA and MEMA. Hooker Construction is overseeing the project.
