Arrest Made In Greenville Church Burning
GREENVILLE (WCBI) – A Leland man is being held in connection with the November 1, 2016 burning of a Greenville church.
45 year old Andrew McClinton was picked up today by Greenville Police and charged with first degree arson of a place of worship. McClinton is currently being held pending an initial appearance in Greenville Municipal Court. The arson drew national headlines because the words “Vote Trump” were spray painted on the side of the African American church before it was torched.
The investigation was conducted by the Greenville Police Department, Greenville Fire Department, Mississippi Bureau of Investigation, State Fire Marshall’s Office, and ATF. The investigation is continuing.
