Video: Walmart Project Back on Track in Starkville

STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) -A proposed Walmart Neighborhood Market that seemed dead in the water a month ago is back on track.

The Starkville Board of Aldermen had split on a Tax Incremental Financing plan to bring the project to town, and the move died on a 4-3 vote at the November 15th meeting.

At Tuesday night’s meeting, developers came back to the board with a new plan, dropping the request for a tax break.

That plan passed unanimously.

Aldermen also passed a 6 month moratorium on new billboards in the city.
