Video: Columbus Kids Give To Toy Drive

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – An area elementary school is helping make sure kids will have presents come Christmas time.

Stokes-Beard Elementary School focused on gifts that begin with the letter “B” for their accountability rating of “B.”

Students and staff collected toys for the Columbus Police Department toy drive.

They also collected items like blankets for homeless and others in need in the area.

“Having the schools contribute help us out a whole lot,” Rhonda Sanders, of the Columbus Police Department, said.

They will distribute the toys Dec. 20.
