Video: Area Doctors Collect Stuffed Animals in Lieu of Payment

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) –It was a chance to get a little free healthcare and give back to the community Tuesday in Columbus.

Saum Chiropractic Clinic held its annual Teddy Bear Day.

For a pair of stuffed bears, patients could receive an adjustment.

The stuffed animals end up bringing comfort for both the givers and the recipients.

” You do year after year, give back to the community. We give to local charities, as well as donate these to the police department and the fire department, to give to children when they come up on a scene involving kids. It’s good to give back to the community.”

The clinic has been collecting bears for 24 years.
