Three Men Escape Custody In Greenwood

GREENWOOD, Miss. (WCBI) – Three offenders escape the Greenwood Retention Center early this morning.

Two of the men were convicted in north Mississippi.

Michael Smith, Corey Scruggs, and Kenneth Arrington were last known to be in custody about 2:00 AM.

Smith is serving a seven year sentence out of Prentiss County for accessory after the fact.

Scruggs was sentenced in Pontotoc County for burglary, and Arrington was sentenced in Washington County.

Smith was caught today in Carroll County.

The men were ordered by the courts to a retention center until all their fines and fees were paid.
