Video: Nanih Waiya’s Chris Smith Honored at Inaugural Mr. Football Banquet

STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) — It was a night to honor the best in Mississippi.

The MHSAA, teaming up with the New Orleans Saints and the Mississippi Association of Coaches, held their first Mr. Football banquet as they recognized their first group of six Mr. Football award winners for 2016.

Nanih Waiya’s Chris Smith was our lone area winner from the 2016 season, as “lightning” finished the season rushing for 1,221 yards and 25 touchdowns.

The other winners of the inaugural Mr. Football award from the MHSAA include:
