Video: Teacher Who Made Controversial Post Resigns
STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – A Starkville teacher who made a social media post that some found controversial and offensive has resigned.
The Starkville Oktibbeha County School Board approved Connie Barber’s resignation along with a number of personnel matters Wednesday during a special called meeting.
Barber, who taught art at Henderson Ward Stewart, had been placed on a three-day suspension following a Facebook post that some parents felt was political and insensitive.
Her resignation was effective Monday.
