Man Arrested In Connection With October Armed Robbery In Oxford

OXFORD, Miss. (WCBI) – A Verona man is facing robbery charges in Oxford this week.

24-year-old Demarcus Carr is arrested by Oxford Police Wednesday for a robbery that occurred on October 2nd.

Two victims told police that they were robbed at gunpoint as they were walking home from the square.

Both victim’s cell phones were stolen.

Investigators were able to track one of the phones to Verona, and they were able to identify Carr based on the victims’ description.

A warrant was issued and Carr was picked up on a traffic stop in Verona.

He was charged with two counts of armed robbery and his bond was set at $50,000 dollars.
