Video: Christian Radio Network Reflects On Trump Win

TUPELO, MISS. (WCBI) -Donald Trump’s astonishing victory was the main topic of discussion on the Tupelo based American Family Radio Network.

Guests and commentators on the nationwide radio network said Donald Trump not only beat Hillary Clinton for the presidency, but overcame opposition from his own party, Hollywood and many media outlets.

Tim Wildmon is president of the American Family Association and says future Supreme Court appointments were a key factor in the evangelical vote.

“The Supreme Court was probably the number one issue for people who support American Family Association because had Hillary Clinton won the Supreme Court would have been lost for the next generation to secular liberals and so it’s a new day of optimism for conservatives,” Wildmon said.

Wildmon also says Trump made it a point to reach out to Christian leaders during the campaign.  He believes the President elect will surround himself with conservative, Christians for advice and counsel.
