Woman In Critical Condition After Being Shot Multiple Times By Husband

CLAY CO., Miss. (WCBI) – A Clay County woman is in critical condition tonight after being shot five times by her husband.

Now, 33-year-old Damaris Quinn is charged with aggravated assault.

Clay County Sheriff Eddie Scott says the shooting happened about 11:00 this morning on Pine Grove Road, just off Highway 46.

Scott says an ongoing argument led to the gunfire.

The unidentified victim was able to run to a next door neighbor’s home for help.

Scott says the woman is in stable, but critical, condition at a Tupelo hospital.
