Video: $10,000 Match Underway For ‘Dance Like The Stars’ Fundraiser

TUPELO, MISS. (WCBI) – An anonymous donor is helping raise more money this week for the Boys and Girls Clubs of North Mississippi.

A $10,000 challenge is underway for the annual “Dance Like the Stars” event.  WCBI’s own Allie Martin is a contestant and through Friday, all donations will be doubled, up to $10,000.

Contestants are learning a routine from a professional dancer.  They will perform their dance at the annual “Dance Like the Stars ” event August 22nd at the Bancorpsouth Arena. Allie is taking lessons from Tammy D. Wilson, at “The Dance Studio” of Tupelo.

Local celebrities from the area are taking part with a combined goal of $200,000.  We will have more on Allie’s preparation closer to the event.
