Video: Wicker, other Mississippi Republicans Show Support For Trump

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) – U.S. Senator Roger Wicker was the main speaker Thursday at a rally for Trump in downtown Tupelo.

He and the other republican leaders in Mississippi have largely continued to support Trump. He says despite the recent controversies in both campaigns, the election will boil down to key issues: the next Supreme Court Justice, jobs and national security.

“This really is not a complicated choice for Americans,” Wicker said.

As the chair of the National Republican Senatorial Committee, he’s playing a major role in helping republican senators get re-elected. 24 of the 34 senate seats up for grabs are seats of incumbent republicans.

“I think we’re in good shape,” he said. “It’s going to be a tough and expensive four weeks but right now I feel pretty good.”
