Video: Name Released of Body Found in Eupora

EUPORA, Miss. (WCBI) – Eupora Police have released the name of the man whose body was found earlier this week.

Police Chief Greg Hunter tells WCBI the man has been identified as Robert Charles McDaniel, 53, of Greenwood.

Hunter says relatives confirmed that McDaniel had most recently been living in Columbus. Hunter believes he was walking along Highway 82 back to Greenwood and may have succumbed to the extreme heat.

McDaniel’s body was found near a driveway on Veterans Memorial Boulevard Wednesday morning. He may have been there for at least two days.
