MANTACHIE, Miss. (WCBI) -The investigation into a deadly shooting in Mantachie continues. Itawamba County Coroner Steve McNeece says 27 year-old Andre Taylor was shot about midnight on Monday.

The shooting happened on Museum Drive.Taylor recently moved to Mantachie.

His deputies have arrested and charged 19-year-old Kyra McClenton, and 19-year-old Tonisha Johnson of Lee county, along with 21-year-old Tyjuan Metcalf of Clarksdale in the shooting death. Two more people were arrested in Delta.

Dickerson says the five suspects planned to steal a two pound bag of marijuana. When they arrived at the home, the victim was there.

That’s when Dickerson says the plan turned to robbery.

Shots were fired, and Taylor was fatally wounded.
