Alabama Burn Restrictions Include 46 Counties

BIRMINGHAM, Al. (WCBI-TV) Outside burning is immediately banned in 46 counties in Alabama, including those in the WCBI viewing area.

The Alabama Forestry Commission issued the fire alert that includes Lamar, Pickens and Marion counties.

More than 33-hundred acres of land has been burned in the past week.

There have been four reported fires in Lamar County in the last week and three in Pickens County.

The ban will remain in effect until the commission feels there’s been enough rain.
