Monroe County Accident Takes One Life

MONROE COUNTY (WCBI) – A pre- dawn accident takes the life of a Clay County man.  Monroe County Coroner Alan Gurley says 25 year old Johnny Javonte Walker of West Point  died in the single vehicle accident.

.  Walker was east bound on Highway 278 around 4:15 just west of Gattman when he lost control of his SUV and hit a tree.  Gurley says even though Walker was wearing a seat belt he died at the scene from multiple trauma .
