Local Law Enforcement Agencies Work Together To Solve Crimes

TISHOMINGO CO., Miss. (PRESS RELEASE) – On October 1, 2016, the Tishomingo Sheriff’s Department received some information from the Belmont Police Department, in reference to a traffic stop that Belmont Police officers were conducting at the present time.

With the help of Belmont Police, Tishomingo Sheriff’s officials were able to trace the items in the vehicle as well as the occupants, to a residence in Itawamba County. Tishomingo Sheriff Investigators met up with Itawamba Sheriff Investigators, and secured a search warrant for a residence in Itawamba County.

That search warrant lead to the discovery of items that had been reported as stolen in Tishomingo County just within the past couple of weeks. There were two individuals that were transported to the Tishomingo County Jail and questioned.

Richard Henry Fisher, 32-year-old, white male of 717th Ave SW Red Bay, Alabama is currently in custody at the Tishomingo County Jail where he has a hold placed on him by the Mississippi Department of Corrections as well also by the Itawamba Sheriff’s Department.

Kara Beth Hester, 28-year-old, white female of 3630 Alice Hall Rd Golden, Mississippi was officially charged with burglary of an unoccupied dwelling.

Bond for Hester has not been set at this time.
