Shots Fired Call Results in 2 Arrests

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) -Gunfire at a Tupelo motel leads to two arrests.

Around 1:00 A.M. Sunday  Tupelo Police were called to the Roadway Inn on North Gloster after employees reportedly heard gunshots.

When officers arrived, they found bullet holes in the door and window of a room, and in a vehicle in the parking lot.

Police detained Kunta Hughes as he was coming out of the room. They also questioned Felicia Kaprak, an occupant of the room.

A search of the room turned up 2 handguns and evidence of illegal drugs.

Hughes was wanted on an outstanding warrant, and Kaprak was arrested for drug possession.

Police say more charges may be filed when the investigation is complete.
