Video: Early Morning Fire Leaves College Students Searching For A New Home
OKTIBBEHA CO., Miss. (WCBI) – Three East Mississippi Community College students are looking for a place to live after a morning fire destroys their camper.
East Oktibbeha Fire Department members were called to Frye Road around 9:30 this morning to what was first thought to be a car fire, but crews arrived to find a camper in flames.
One of the students was asleep inside when it started, but was able to escape with his dog without injury.
Firemen were able to knock down the blaze, but it was made difficult because two butane tanks were spewing flames.
The O-SERVS program was able to provide the three welding students with vouchers to help buy clothing because everything they owned burned in the camper.
