VIDEO: Amory Gardens 75th Anniversary

AMORY, Miss. (WCBI)- This past afternoon, the Amory Flower lover’s gardening club celebrated its 75th anniversary.

The club was started in 1941 after 14 women decided they wanted to improve their community by gardening.

An exhibit was hosted at the city’s regional museum, it took a look back at the group’s accomplishments over the years.

The theme of the exhibit was a walk through time.

“We have made an arrangement of our memorabilia and things we have done throughout the community and what to share it with everyone,” says Club President Susan Murray.

The lady’s current project, is the renovation of the town’s arboretum.
