One Jailed After Tupelo Pursuit

TUPELO (WCBI) – Tupelo Police will provide more details Monday on a Friday night pursuit in the city. It all started at the intersection of West Main and Industrial around 10 Friday night when officers tried to make a traffic stop but the suspect fled west on West Main.

Tupelo units actively chased the fleeing car but terminated the pursuit but that didn’t slow the suspect. He continued to run until he hit a car at the Thomas and Main intersection. He then bailed out and ran into a nearby neighborhood. Investigators identified the unnamed man and arrested him Saturday. The driver of the car hit suffered minor injuries .
