Video: OCH Regional Medical Center Receives $25,000 Donation

STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI)- OCH Regional Medical Center’s Cardiac Rehab Program recently installed and an updated telemetry system all thanks to a $25,000 donation from OCH Auxiliary.

The new system provides an additional four channels, which allows nurses to monitor the heart rate and rhythm of up to 12 patients at the same time as they exercise.

Many of the auxiliary members know how beneficial the program is because they were once patients there.

Physicians at the center are excited for the potential the new technology holds.

“I think the new monitoring system is going to document things extremely well, it’s a very good display. I just noticed the nurses are really able to put down exactly what the patients are doing and documenting very well,” says OCH Dr. Ben Sanford.

The auxiliary hosted multiple fundraisers throughout the year to raise enough money for the new system.
