TUPELO, MISS. (WCBI) -It was an opportunity for Dads to take their daughters out for an elegant evening of dancing, food and it was all for a great cause.
The 13th annual Father-Daughter Dance benefitting LeBonheur Children’s Hospital took place at Tupelo’s Bancorpsouth Arena.
More than 1,600 people attended the sold out event, which featured a live band, silent auction, and lots of Disney characters to meet the young ladies. All proceeds go to LeBonheur Children’s Hospital.
“LeBonheur doesn’t charge families for any services and being in medical field, pursuing speech language pathology, I realize how much of a burden it is for medical bills for parents and just to be able for these parents to come in, get their children better and focus on family is very important,” said LeBonheur Intern Cortney Wilbanks.
WCBI’s Allie Martin was emcee for the fun filled evening. In the past the event has raised as much as $60,000.
