Video: American Family Association President Blasts Supreme Court Ruling

TUPELO , MISS. (WCBI) – The president of one of the largest pro family ministries in the nation says the Supreme Court Ruling in favor of same sex marriage is a sad and tragic day for America.

American Family Association President Tim Wildmon says the 5 to 4 decision by the High Court goes against the will of a majority of voters across the country.

Wildmon believes the issue is not just about same sex marriage for LGBT activists.  He says there is a deeper agenda.

“But for the activists, the hardcore folks, they want to force Christians to bow the knee to homosexual behavior, say this is acceptable, normal , and approved.  And if you don’t agree with that we will punish you by fines from the government, and or trying to shut down your business, or get you fired from your job or not hired from another job,” Wildmon said.

Wildmon says the ruling gives broader powers to the Supreme Court and the federal government.   More than 30 states passed amendments supporting traditional marriage.
