Video: Freight May Soon be Moving Faster Through Corinth

CORINTH, Miss. (WCBI) -Freight trains will be moving faster through some busy areas of Corinth. Norfolk Southern increased the speed of its trains to a maximum of 40 miles per hour, up from 25 miles per hour.

Norfolk Southern operates the line traveling through Corinth from Memphis to Charleston, South Carolina. A company spokesperson says the change should improve public traffic flow.

An average of 31 trains go through Corinth daily on the affected line.
