Video: Bond Set For Former MHS Band Director, Accused Of Sexual Assault, Enticement
FULTON, MISS. (WCBI) – The former director for the Mantachie High School Band had his bond set at 60 thousand dollars after he is charged with sexual assault and enticement.
Thirty seven year old Joshua Robinson was arrested Friday, after a week long investigation.
Itawamba County Sheriff Chris Dickinson says his office was contacted by a former student of Robinson’s, who accused the band director of inappropriate behavior.
Last Monday, Robinson was fired by the Itawamba County School District. Sheriff Dickinson says the initial investigation led to Robinson’s arrest, but there could be more charges.
“At this point the investigation is still ongoing, it is very active. We will be going to the next available Grand Jury and present the facts of the case at this point and just see where we go from there,” Sheriff Dickinson said.
Robinson’s attorney, Dennis Farris, could not make an on camera statement, but did say the facts will prove his client is innocent.
