HAMILTON, Miss. (WCBI)- A mom in Hamilton has made it her mission to make those around her aware of a serious but almost unheard of condition.

Hydrocephalus, is an accumulation of fluid inside the brain and affects about 1-million people in the United States.

Emily Hall’s daughter, Jamaya, spent the first 7 years of her life misdiagnosed.

On Sunday, family, friends, classmates gathered at the Hamilton Community Center to raise money and awareness for the incurable condition.
